Meet Michaeline

I believe in whole-human healthcare. Our individual relationship with nutrition is highly personal and influenced by a vast multitude of factors. Health is not created in a vacuum, and it cannot be healed or improved upon in a vacuum, either. That's why it's so vital that we acknowledge people's stories and dig deeper to try to understand the dynamic context that has made them who they are. That includes understanding the community that surrounds them and contextualizing our approach to public health. This is my approach as a public health and nutrition practitioner.

Study Abroad

I was privileged enough to study abroad twice in my undergraduate career: once for a two-week opportunity to the Dominican Republic as a freshman, and then again for a full semester as a junior to study at Wageningen University. These early international experiences were an incredible opportunity to broaden my perspective on health and nutrition and to see health through a dynamic, global lens.
